Case StudySelling a made-to-measure product online.
SolarNets protects solar arrays from golf-ball and hail damage. We built SunnyCal Solar the site that explains the problem, configures the net, and captures the quote — for homeowners, golf courses and dealers alike.
A physical product that has to be specified before it can be sold
SolarNets is SunnyCal Solar Inc.'s line of nylon netting and support hardware that protects rooftop and ground-mount solar arrays from golf-ball and hail damage. Underscore designed and developed solarnets.com for SunnyCal Solar. It sells to homeowners near golf courses, to golf courses themselves, and through solar installers and dealers — three audiences with very different questions.
Every net is a different size, and every buyer asks first
Netting is not an off-the-shelf SKU: the size, the support brackets and the roof attachment depend on the array. That made the first sales conversation a manual measuring exercise, and it made the website's job harder than a catalog — it had to teach the damage problem, prove the product works, and capture a specifiable lead.
A content-led product site with a quote engine behind it
A Next.js storefront over a headless CMS, so SunnyCal's own team publishes products, FAQs, gallery sets and blog posts without a developer. Product pages for nets, SMARTMOUNT direct-attach supports, roof attachments and tensioners; a before/after gallery and installation guidance carrying the proof; an installer locator; and a quote request flow that branches for individual buyers and prospective dealers, with international phone and country handling.
Net Designer and a page that has to load fast on a roof
Net Designer lets installers lay out a net configuration and produce a design rather than trading measurements over email. Around it, image-heavy evidence — damaged arrays, completed installs — is served through a responsive image pipeline so the site stays quick on a phone in the field, where installers actually open it.
One site that sells, specifies and supports
SolarNets now runs as SunnyCal's storefront, technical reference and dealer channel in one, with the content team publishing directly.

A short description is sufficient to begin a conversation. We respond within one business day, and where an evaluation calls for an architecture walkthrough rather than a portfolio review, we will arrange it.
